Library Classes
Students will received a 30 minute library media instruction class every other week. Every effort is made to allow ample time to complete coursework at school and homework is generally not assigned. The library does offer library promotions to help reinforce some of the library curriculum.
Library Promotions
Kindergarten, First and Second grades take part in the McDonalds Reading Promotion. Reading logs will be passed out during library classes in September and will run through January.
Third, Fourth and Fifth grades take part in the William Allen White Reading Promotion. (Please see the section on William Allen White on the main library web page.)
The library promotions are optional activities for the students. Please encourage your student to take part in these fun opportunities! Lots of fun and prizes are offered!
Library Volunteers
The library is always looking for parent volunteers! We have volunteer positions for all time frames as well as skill levels. We also have special project needs such as the Fall and Spring Scholastic Book Fairs, etc. Please feel free to contact us at 218.4630.
Questions?
Please feel free to contact the library any time during regular school operating hours.
